কতগুলো বেলা

ঠেলে দিয়েছি অবেলায়,

আফসোস গুলো

উঁকি দিয়ে

মিটিমিটি হাসতে চায়,

ঠিক সাহস পায় না।

ওরা জানে,

ওদের বহুবার আমি

দুপায়ে পিষেছি,

অসভ্য বিড়ালের মত

লোভ লালসা অহংকার

থলিতে ভরে কতবার

দূরে ফেলে দিয়ে এসেছি।

পরিমিতির শক্তি জানেনা,

ওরা জানেনা

কতটুকু পেলে

বহু পাওয়া হারাতে হয়না।

have I pushed them far far away!

The regrets peek out,

They want to smile 

Just for a moment,

But they just don't have the courage.

They know,

I have trampled them many times,

Like a rude cat,

I have thrown them away, 

How many times! 

have I filled them 

with greed, lust, and pride of no use?

They don't know 

the power of moderation,

They don't know

If you get a little, you don't lose a lot.
